Photography to me is a way that I can capture the beauty of a moment. I mean this literally. I can take two pictures of a particular sunset or sunrise and those pictures would have differences sometimes huge ones.
In the picture above I was driving through the Cascade Mountains between Oregon and California. When I first saw this sunrise to my left there was but a speck of light on the top of the mountain. I drove on hoping to find a place to stop two minutes later I got my opportunity. I found the view had changed dramatically. Though I believe I got lucky as I feel that this view made a better picture I was struck by how fast things change.
I have always been a lover of nature and the way God’s world shows off his splendor. But, never before have I witnessed how fast the changes come and go.
I, for a long time have harbored a desire to become a photographer. It has become a passion for me. I find that I enjoy taking the type of picture above (capturing both landscape and skyscape) is my favorite. But as in this picture (below)

I see a subtle beauty in man’s interaction with the world around him.
Though I enjoy “people watching” and would thoroughly enjoy snapping pictures of random folks going about their business I would also feel like I am interfering with their privacy. So though you may see people from time to time in my photos it is not something I do often.
I hope that you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I do.
Many of them do not have their locations but mostly it is because I see mostly what strikes me as a beautiful picture not the actual location. If a particular photo strikes your fancy feel free to request a larger version or to ask questions about the locations. I will be happy to send it along via email.
